Lin Tokura Receives the Viktor Kalabis and Zuzana Růžičková Endowment Fund Prize

The Prize of the Viktor Kalabis and Zuzana Růžičková Endowment Fund has been awarded this year to the Japanese violinist Lin Tokura (b. 2011), who won the keyboard and string instruments category and went on to become the overall winner of the jubilee 60th edition of the international radio competition Concertino Praga.

The final round of the keyboard and string instruments category took place on Friday 18 September 2026 in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. The finalists were accompanied by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marek Šedivý. Lin Tokura performed the Violin Concerto in D minor by Jean Sibelius and, in addition to first place, also received the audience prize.

Second place in the same category went to the pianist Xuyao Bai (New Zealand) and third to the cellist Tobiáš Balkovský (Czech Republic). The wind instruments category was won by the Armenian flautist Elen Virabyan.

Congratulations on this extraordinary accomplishment. The prize was presented to Lin by Aleš Březina, Chairman of the Endowment Fund’s Administrative Board.
