Invitation to a Concert in Jindřichův Hradec: A Tribute to Zuzana Růžičková and Viktor Kalabis

As part of the 21st annual South Bohemian Chamber Music Festival, a piano recital dedicated to the legacy of Prof. Zuzana Růžičková and Dr. Viktor Kalabis will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. In the impressive setting of the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene in Jindřichův Hradec, young pianist Eliška Tkadlčíková, recipient of the Viktor Kalabis and Zuzana Růžičková Foundation Award, will perform.

The evening’s program will feature a diverse selection of works by Vítězslav Novák, Alexander Scriabin, and, most notably, selections from Viktor Kalabis’s piano cycle Akcenty, Op. 28.

Pianist Eliška Tkadlčíková is one of the most prominent representatives of the rising generation of the Czech piano school. Her concert performance in Jindřichův Hradec symbolically builds on the Kalabis couple’s longstanding connection to this city, where they lived and worked for several decades.
